The two-way communication fostered by social media is increasingly the way the manufacturing community, small businesses, media and Capitol Hill legislators create and share breaking news. The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) operates numerous social media sites and online communities where people who are passionate about manufacturing can go to learn, share and engage in social networking.

Widely read on Capitol Hill by legislators and staffers alike, the Shopfloor manufacturing blog is also regularly cited by influential media channels.
