Linda Kelly
Linda Kelly is the chief legal officer and corporate secretary at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The NAM is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector in each of the 50 US states. Ms. Kelly oversees NAM’s organizational legal risk and compliance, provides corporate governance advice to its CEO and Board of Directors and serves as a member of the senior leadership team. Ms. Kelly also oversees the work of the NAM Legal Center, directing the NAM’s litigation strategy in support of its policy objectives through direct legal action on behalf of manufacturers. In addition to her legal role, Ms. Kelly is also responsible for overseeing the association’s Human Resources function.
Ms. Kelly’s career has spanned a wide array of legal and public policy issues at the state, federal and international levels. She has served in legal and policy-focused roles for a variety of non-profit organizations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel, the George Mason University Law and Economics Center, and the US Chamber of Commerce. Formerly an associate with the law firm of Hogan & Hartson, LLP, (now Hogan Lovells) in Washington, D.C., Ms. Kelly focused her law practice on U.S. immigration, economic sanctions and export control laws.
Ms. Kelly holds an A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College and a J.D., cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center. She is admitted to the bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia and the United States Supreme Court.
