Washington, D.C., July 21, 2015 – The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), Iowa Public Television (IPTV) and Vermeer Corporation announced today they will host a Presidential Candidates Forum on Manufacturing. This bipartisan manufacturers’ forum provides candidates in the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses an opportunity to directly address chief concerns, topics and policies about which manufacturers care and by which they are the most impacted.

The NAM serves as a vocal advocate in Washington and with policymakers throughout the United States. The NAM has been an innovative leader connecting employers and employees to get-out-the-vote efforts, candidates and information to make an informed decision.

IPTV’s broadcast of the Presidential Candidates Forum on Manufacturing continues a tradition of political coverage stretching across more than 10 caucus cycles and four decades. IPTV is committed to increasing the public discourse on key economic issues confronting businesses with statewide, national and global implications. The forum presents an opportunity for public television viewers to witness an in-depth conversation on the future of a key sector of both Iowa’s rural and urban economies.

Qualifying candidates will take questions on November 2 in front of manufacturers and workers at Vermeer Corporation’s headquarters in Pella, Iowa. Vermeer Corporation is a family-owned and -operated manufacturing company that produces construction, agricultural and environmental equipment.
