Fiorina to Participate in Presidential Candidates Forum on Manufacturing

Washington, D.C., October 1, 2015 – As presidential candidates continue to focus their attention on the importance of manufacturing to the economy, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is pleased to announce that Carly Fiorina will join the NAM 2016 Presidential Candidates Forum on Manufacturing. Moderated by “The PBS NewsHour’s” Judy Woodruff, the forum will provide candidates the opportunity to discuss their positions on issues critical to manufacturing in the United States.

“As activity continues to build around a vibrant presidential race, manufacturers are eager to hear from candidates about where they stand on manufacturing priorities,” said NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons. “We look forward to hearing from all candidates on their views on how to keep manufacturing in the United States the best and most competitive in the world.”

“The past eight years have not brought economic growth to most of America,” said Fiorina. “We need to invest in the things that will get our economy going and growing again, including small businesses and manufacturers. I look forward to discussing these issues with Iowa’s manufacturers and workers at the NAM, IPTV and Vermeer Corporation’s forum.”

The forum will take place before manufacturers and workers at Vermeer Corporation’s headquarters in Pella, Iowa. Vermeer Corporation is a family-owned and -operated manufacturing company that produces construction, agricultural and environmental equipment.
