ICYMI: Manufacturing Leaders Spotlight Senator Paul’s Vote on the Budget as Critical to Achieving Tax Reform

Washington, D.C., October 17, 2017 – Today, leaders from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers, and Atlas Machine and Supply held a media conference call to draw attention to the importance of U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s vote on the FY 2018 Budget Resolution, a critical step toward achieving tax reform.

“Manufacturers and manufacturing workers are really counting on a positive result from this vote. We’re really going to be watching closely to see how senators are going to respond. There’s really no escaping the fact that the vote on this budget is essentially a vote on tax reform,” NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons said on the call. “We’re greatly confident that senators are going to do the right thing, that specifically Senator Rand Paul will do the right thing. We encourage Kentuckians to really speak out, encourage Senator Paul, to let him know that they want tax reform.”
