EFCA Polling Data

New research shows strong public opposition to the mis-named Employee Free Choice Act – or union “card check” legislation. The NAM working with the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace has performed detailed public opinion surveys in the key states of Minnesota, Maine, Louisiana, New Hampshire and New Mexico that are consistent with nationwide voter sentiment.

This research highlights the disparity between union workers around the country and union bosses in Washington regarding “card check” legislation. Opposition to this proposal is widespread among voters in these states regardless of party affiliation and actually increases among union members themselves.
