Bill Gill, assistant vice president and senior regional manager, joined the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in 1988. Based in Chicago, IL, Mr. Gill serves as a liaison for NAM member companies headquartered in Ohio and Wisconsin.

He works closely with members of the NAM’s Board of Directors and other key manufacturing executives on issue advocacy, employee education and involvement programs. He has also represented the NAM in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Mr. Gill has been active in government and politics for over three decades. Previously, he served on the staff of Illinois Governor James R. Thompson in legislative affairs assignments for both the Governor and in key state agencies. Prior to that, he worked as a legislative director for the Illinois State Senate Republicans and as a legislative assistant to Illinois State Representative Robert W. Churchill. Mr. Gill earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and legal studies from Illinois State University and has completed graduate level work in public policy at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
