Lauren Chrissos McCann, national director and assistant vice president of strategic development, joined the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in 2009. In her role, she is responsible for the cultivation of and external relations for many NAM allies and members nationwide.
Prior to joining the NAM, Ms. McCann was vice president of a national think-tank and research center located in Chicago, Ill. She has held several leadership positions in the think-tank and non-profit community. She worked at the national headquarters of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) as manager of corporate relations and spent five years at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University directing corporate, government and external affairs. Ms. McCann has also worked at the the Adam Smith Institute in London and Americans for Tax Reform, tackling policy issues including health care, energy and environment, telecommunications and tax policy. She attended Catholic University where she studied political science and philosophy.
