Leland Frost

Associate General Counsel


Leland Frost is the associate general counsel for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). As part of the Manufacturers’ Center for Legal Action, Mr. Frost works to strengthen the NAM’s ability to promote manufacturing policy objectives through litigation. He also serves as director of the Manufacturers’ Compliance Institute, which provides training and assistance on state, national and global business issues.

Mr. Frost joined the General Counsel’s office in 2015. He works with member companies and outside counsel on a host of litigation issues, including cases on Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Labor regulation, product liability, punitive damages, class action suits, taxation, constitutional rights, intellectual property and trade compliance. Mr. Frost's background includes international, environmental and corporate law experience and work on a wide range of policy and regulatory issues, including time at multiple law firms and working for a federal judge and the Alabama Attorney General.

Mr. Frost holds an economics degree from Furman University and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and an editor on the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review. He is a member of the Alabama, District of Columbia and New York state bars, and he is also a member of multiple professional organizations including the Association of Corporate Counsel, International Bar Association, and the Environmental Law Institute.
