Patrick Smith

VP, Member and Board Relations

Patrick Smith is vice president of member and board relations at the National Association of Manufacturers. In this capacity, he helps to lead a team working with the NAM’s Fortune 1000 members, frequently traveling throughout the Midwest and to Washington, D.C.

Patrick joined the NAM in 2018 after serving as managing director at the DCI Group in Washington, D.C., for more than a dozen years. In that capacity he counseled executives and managed public affairs campaigns for Fortune 50 clients on their most sensitive, important, and urgent reputational and public policy priorities. He began his career working on the communications team for Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN) after working on a U.S. Senate campaign in Illinois.

Patrick is a graduate of DePaul University and lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with his wife Rebecca and their three daughters.
