Robert Scott, assistant vice president for strategic development, joined the NAM in 2014. Robert leads the NAM’s new member development team serving large companies, while supporting issue advocacy, sponsorship, and other program development in partnership with NAM members and allied organizations. In this role, Robert provides members with a trusted and well-resourced institutional outlet to solve common challenges facing manufacturers.
Prior to the NAM, Robert was a Managing Director at DCI Group, where he led public affairs efforts for many of the most recognizable names in energy, transportation, technology and manufacturing. He began his career in public affairs mobilizing student coalitions on behalf of several local and national campaigns in Michigan, including working for the Bush Cheney ’04 Michigan headquarters.
Mr. Scott is based in the Midwest, at the NAM’s Chicago office. He is a passionate champion and volunteer for the American Legion Buckeye Boys State program and local workforce development causes serving manufacturers in the greater Chicago area.
