Amy Rawlings

VP, State Affairs

Amy Rawlings is the executive director of state affairs at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). In this role, she oversees the leadership, direction and management of the member associations, which play a critical role in the NAM’s grassroots efforts to advance policies that enhance business growth and job creation. In her capacity as executive director, Ms. Rawlings is responsible for facilitating the relationship between the member associations and the NAM to promote legislative and regulatory affairs and mutually established goals and objectives.

Before joining the NAM, Ms. Rawlings served as the director of government and regulatory affairs at the Gypsum Association, where she was responsible for monitoring the development and implementation of legislation that impacts the gypsum industry; maintaining relationships with federal agencies; and developing meaningful programs and educational materials for member company employees and the construction industry.

Prior to that, Ms. Rawlings was employed at the NAM, where she held positions as a public affairs assistant, associate director of the NAM’s Council of Manufacturing Associations and director for the NAM’s Center for Workforce Success. She began her career as an educator in the field of early childhood development. Her first job was as a high school intern at the NAM.

Ms. Rawlings holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and an associate’s degree in business from the European Division of the University of Maryland.
