Chris Schmitt
Chris Schmitt is the vice president of strategic partnerships at the National Association of Manufacturing. In this role, he leads the partnership and sponsorship activities nationally for manufacturers, service providers, and non-profits that seek to partner with the NAM on marketing and thought leadership activities.
Chris spent nearly a decade in the manufacturing sector prior to joining the NAM in 2017, previously leading functional teams as a global marketing director at Pentair and as a marketing director and general counsel at American Roll Form Products.
Chris is heavily involved outside of the office as well, serving as the Board Chair of Ohio City Incorporated, on the Board of Visitors at Hiram College, as an Advisor to Entrepreneur’s EDGE Regional Economic Development, and as a Senior Staff Counselor and Board Consultant for the American Legion Buckeye Boys State Program.
A native of Ohio and a fourth-generation manufacturer, Chris received his JD/MBA from Case Western Reserve University and his BA from Hiram College. He lives in Cleveland with his incredibly supportive wife, Melissa, and awesome kids, Ethan and Harper.
