Nancy Riegle

Chief Inclusion + People Strategy Officer

Nancy S. Riegle, SHRM-CP is chief inclusion + people strategy officer at the National Association of Manufacturers. Since joining the NAM in January 2012, she is responsible for leading the association’s DEI and people strategy operations working as a strategic partner to senior management to direct the alignment of the NAM’s people with the business goals and strategic objectives of the association. Ms. Riegle is responsible for balancing the business realities with the needs of the employees while initiating and development a broad range of programs that foster inclusion, teamwork, diversity, equity and collaboration. In keeping with the NAM mission and values, she is responsible for working throughout the association to recruit and retain the best people, refine and define best practices and policies and maintain the association’s competitive edge within the surrounding business environment.

As the NAM is a leading and respected advocate for American manufacturing, so too does the NAM endeavor to be an innovative and trusted association for its staff. Ms. Riegle is responsible for continually assessing the organizational culture and for developing creative and inspiring programs to support the desired values of the association. In her role, providing opportunities for the employees to feel fully immersed in the culture of the organization, which is grounded in the principles of diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging. As the NAM works for continual improvement, Ms. Riegle is responsible for providing the platforms and programs that expand the employees’ knowledge and skill sets, as well as developing programs that recognize and reward outstanding results.

Ms. Riegle has her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Virginia. She has a master’s degree in human resources development from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Nancy has achieved professional certifications in Gallup StrengthsFinders, Herrmann International HBDI and American University Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance. Nancy has also completed the SHRM Inclusive Workplace certification program to continue to build DEI best practices for the association. She is an active member of the DC Human Resources Leadership Forum and the DC SHRM.

Nancy and her husband Greg Riegle, managing partner at McGuire Woods, LLP currently live in Clarendon, VA. They have two grown sons, David McIntyre, who is married to Conley Henderson and lives in Winston-Salem, NC, and Kyle McIntyre, a graduate of George Mason University and resides nearby in Ballston, VA.
