Manufacturers in Georgia account for 10.98% of the total output in the state, employing 8.99% of the workforce. Total output from manufacturing was $64.57 billion in 2018. In addition, there were an average of 408,000 manufacturing employees in Georgia in 2018, with an average annual compensation of $69,625.87 in 2017.

Georgia Export Facts

Manufacturers help to drive Georgia’s economy, with $36.81 billion in manufactured goods exports in 2018. That same year, $15.52 billion in exports was with our free trade agreement (FTA) partners. This helps create jobs in the state, and 21.30% of its employment stemmed from exports in 2011. Small businesses comprised 89.00% percent of all exporters in Georgia.
